They way I see it, we are at one of those pivotal moments in the history of the United States. In November of 2010 we will either go head long to Socailism where as Mr Spock said in Wrath of Khan "The good of the many outweigh the needs of the few... or the one." or we will start the reverse of the "Progressive" movement started so long ago. If we vote with our sense of what is right. I beleive we will restore this country to prominence. When I say what is right I don't mean vote in the republicans blindly. I mean vote in someone who is looking out for the country by getting us back to the rule of law (blind to color, race, sex, national origin, handicap, sexual orientation, etc.) that says "It is illegal to enter this country without proper documentation and proper authorization." Notice I didn't say keep Mexico out. I said keep ILLEGALS out. Illegalls can come from anywhere on earth.
We need to look at candidates and see what they really stand for. Politicians make all kinds of promises. Deep down we all know those promises are hollow. We are promised a tax break for the middle and low income people and higher taxes for the rich. (Class warfare) When has this ever happened? When? Remember when the Congress passed the tax law that there would be aluxury tax on expensive yachts? Who got hurt? Was it the rich that blindly kept buying expensive yachts? NO. It was the low and middle income worker that built those yachts that were hurt. How were they hurt. The rich didn't blindly keep buying expensive yachts. Oh they bought yachts they just bought them in europe putting the US worker out of business. What else happened? The IRS tax receipts from the purchase of yachts didn't increase it decreased.
So, STOP TRYING TO PUNISH PEOPLE FOR WANTING TO MAKE MONEY. Start voting for guiding pronciples of the country.

Inflation and the 7th Amendment
Here is the 7th amendment of the U.S. Constitution
In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.
Ever wonder what that would read today if it accounted for inflation. According to measuring Worth (http://www.measuringworth.com/) the $20 mentioned in the Amendment would be approximately $500 in 2009 dollars. Would this mean less trials in our courts? who knows. I am assuming if a dispute about an amount less than $500 would not have the right to go to trial.

Binyamin Netanyahu humiliated after Barack Obama 'dumped him for dinner'
Article
For a head of government to visit the White House and not pose for photographers is rare. For a key ally to be left to his own devices while the President withdraws to have dinner in private was, until this week, unheard of. Yet that is how Binyamin Netanyahu was treated by President Obama on Tuesday night, according to Israeli reports on a trip viewed in Jerusalem as a humiliation.
After failing to extract a written promise of concessions on settlements, Mr Obama walked out of his meeting with Mr Netanyahu but invited him to stay at the White House, consult with advisers and “let me know if there is anything new”, a US congressman, who spoke to the Prime Minister, said.

Brazil announced they are cutting taxes to SPUR ECENOMIC GROWTH. Imagine that??? What happened?? The brazilian stock market rose, and from the article
"...Central bank President Henrique Meirelles said today industrial production is rising and the country’s gross domestic product will post “strong growth” in the third quarter..."

Imagine that. A country cutting taxes to spur economic growth!!
Taxes Taxes Everywhere
Whats the latest?
I hear now there is thought of charging a surtax to pay for the War in Afghanistan. If this happens I wonder how long it will last. Since most of the people of the United States do not read the constitution much less hold the Judicial, Executive, and Legislative branch to its tenants I'll bet it lasts longer than Article 1 - Section 8 of the Powers of Congress clause of the constitution allows.
Constitution of the United States of America - Article 1 - Section 8 Powers of Congress: To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two years.
